When should you start using ANTI WRINKLE cream?

How old should you be when you start using Anti wrinkle treatments? Like to prevent crows feet and such.

i read this very informative article written by a dermatologist that talked about skin care (preventative mostly), and broke it down by decades. she wrote that basically, on the topic of wrinkles and such, you should start using a retinoid cream in your thirties. apparently this is something that your body produces less of as we age.

i am 34 and started using Roc deep wrinkle correction night cream a few months ago. i noticed that my laugh lines were really showing, and i had "groves" between my eyebrows from squinting so much. after just using the cream for a couple months, i have noticed a HUGE difference in the lines diminishing. they aren’t completely gone, but much, much better! the Roc cream is great… i didn’t have any of the side effect that others have had (search the forum on the cream) like burning, breakouts, etc. the cream was just around $20 and i got it at my local walgreens. i would definitely recommend it.

so, in a nutshell, i had i known years ago… i would have started using, at least a night cream with retinoid, around the age of 30.

Never, it’s a waste of money and at best it can probably only lightly mask wrinkles. But it’s inevitable that you’ll get them eventually no matter what you use so you might as well just accept it.

Apparently it’s more effective if you start using it before you get wrinkles. I would say age 27 or so.

If you use a good moisturizer with an SPF factor you can delay getting wrinkles. Stay out of the sun and don’t smoke.

    It depends on the woman.

I am 49 have just begun using these, mostly on my eyelids and around my mouth.

I do notsmokee and use a sunscreen, I take precautions on sun exposure and have always taken care of my skin.

I have problem skin anyway very, very dry and have always had to use lotions and oils so this may have helped prolong the wrinkles.

But I would say if a woman notices changes in her skin do something about it.

As old as when you hate looking at your image on the mirror because of those obvious lines. Some people have wrinkles earlier than others.
