Has anyone ever tried Botox or any other treatment like that? Please tell me how it went.?

Were there any negative side effects. I’d really like to hear from older women who had deep wrinkles. Thanks.

i am not an older woman, but a gent of 36 whose appearance is very important in his line of work.

i have done botox twice. i don’t seriously need it quite yet, but i wanted to do it before my entire face caved in to wrinkles. the first time was last year in July, and the second time was 2 weeks ago.

magazines always tell you how wonderful it is but they do not tell you the side-effects. i have done botox twice, the first was performed by a plastic surgeon and the second was by a dermatologist.

the first time, i did not have any point of reference to know if it was done well or not. so i just went ahead and did it. it was done in 5 minutes flat.

it was very tight and i could not really move my forehead. and the sides of my eyes were tight too. a week later, i had eyelid droop. my left eyelid could not really open fully. it was like i did not have enough sleep. but thankfully, that went back to normal quite soon.

but the most terrible thing was that i had recurring headaches for 10 nights. i was told later this is quite normal for some people.

so far, my latest botox has been wonderful. this dermatologist used the right dosage, not as high as the first one. my face feels lightly taut but not overly tight as in the first time. i can move my forehead easily this time. and he also used botox to freeze the under-eye muscles to make the fine lines under my eyes disappear.

i wanted to cry with joy when i saw myself after this second botox job. i was overjoyed. my face looks fresh, like i was when i was 21. after 2 weeks there is no eyelid droop this time and no recurring headaches.

you need to find a good practioner to get good results and none of the bad side effects. talk to people and ask around…

i was terrified to do it a second time after all those side effects and headaches, but am glad i found a great dermatologist. my fears are now gone.

I am not the older one but i use it near 4 yrs and i am a G.P and dermatolog resident and a daughter of a dermatologist is that enough:)
-the bad things ab Botox are these but in this 4 yrs of my experience and as what i see in clinique it happen verey rare:
Botox side effects specially depends on the method of injection, headache is one of the side effects ..the books says its 15% but as hat i see is less than 5%,
the one Botox side effect that no one wants is Ptosis, Ptosis is the drooping of the eyelid after the injection. This happens for one of 3 reasons. First, somehow the physician injects Botox into the wrong muscle, and injects it into the thin wispy muscle in your eyelid that raises it. Second, has to do with muscle variability in muscular anatomy and muscular strength between patients. In some patients the little muscle that raises and lowers the eyelid is too weak to do the job on its own.,and the last thing is: if u dont attention to things he tells u to do or not to do after injection it can give u petosis and and u have to wait 3 to 6 months till the time the poison lose its affect ….
-but what happen after u have the injction…for starting the result u have to wait 2 weeks ..the result will not happen suddenly but after 2 weeks u can see the result….when u have the injection for 4 hrs u dont have to lay down .dont have to go to swimming or sona or any warm places like cooking and….by the place u inject its better if u use that muscles …contracture them and relax them it will make the botox absorb better by the nerves…..dont touch that place or massage it with hands(one of the reason give u ptosis )…..Botox will stay for 3 to 6 months and after that if u want that u have to inject again….its better if u dont inject less than 6 months cuz ur body will make some antibody againts botox and when u inject it soon it wont affect well cuz the antibody will destroy the poison…
want mor einformation feel free and ask
